Right next to highway. Noisy and unable to sit on the balcony due to auto exhaust fumes

Great location- easy with dog- nice to have 2 bedrooms.

Didn’t like upstairs and downstairs split. Super loud from I35. Was in interior room last time. Downstairs barn door makes no sense. Once one person is awake that room hears everything. Also the blinds didn’t work great and with that glass in the walls you had a strobe light in that room at night. Finally called and asked to extend our stay and front desk put me on hold for several minutes came back and said the supervisor approved it and we can stay in same room. Just come to desk in the morning to pay. Then when we went to pay front desk had no records at all of our conversation. Very disappointing. I’ve stayed here before and my daughter is moving here (why we needed one more day to complete the move), but not sure I will stay again. This left a bad taste in my mouth.

Good proximity to downtown amenities and 6th St. Staff were very friendly.

Cleaning of the apartments could be better. There were large dust piles by the side of the couch, collected under the coffee table, and on top of the headboards. Glasses and spoons in the cupboards also were not clean. We found hair in our shower from a previous guest and our specific apartment could’ve used some maintenance (peeling paint from baseboards, scuffs on a lot of the walls). While in Austin there was a big thunderstorm with torrential rain. We went to the pool two days after and all of the towels on the chairs were still soaking wet and not replaced.

We had a lovely stay at Placemakr. Comfortable and clean rooms and great amenities.

Staff make this place and are super helpful and friendly. Excellent location and easy to get to lots of different places to explore. Apartments are plenty big enough with good facilities as a base for your time in Austin. Felt very safe, had a security guard on later on after staff were no longer on the desk.

Very noisy, you can hear people above and rooms opposite the building work are not ideal. While understandable, prior notice to this would have been nice. Arrived at 5.30pm and room was still not ready to check in, staff did their best to get this sorted but not ideal after a long day travelling. Key code to the room also didn't work so needed sorting, adding to the unfortunate check in experience.

The communication was excellent, even before I arrived. Although I got there later than expected, I received a text message from someone who provided the information I needed to access my room. I encountered some issues with the first room, even though it was very cute, located on the top floor, and had a beautiful view of downtown Austin. Even though I was late, I still had someone to help me change my room, which I wasn't happy with. Plus close to where we wanted to be for entertainment. Parking was great, access code to get into the garage.

When I arrived at the first room, I was disappointed to find it was not clean. The bed was unmade, there were dishes left in the sink, and the bathroom was dirty. I took several pictures to show the person who assisted me. She was very apologetic about the condition of the room and ensured that my next room was perfectly clean, which it was.

The property is surrounded by homeless. Particularly towards the creek under the bridge. They shout profanities and fight over night. Literally in front of your windows. I guess this is an Austin problem. The windows lack appropriate black outs.
