"A perfect two-night stay in Damaraland."

10.0

The location. The beds in our cottage. The hot water shower. The food. And especially the owners, Eddy and Lettie. They made the whole stay better through their warm hospitality and kindness.

Nothing.

"Amazing experience, the best in Namibia"

10.0

The hospitality and the warmth of the hosts, combined with the great facilities made our stay amazing. I would really recommend staying here for everyone. This was our best stay in Namibia by far!! It’s also the only accommodation in the area owned by Damara people. So if you want to support the local community, eat finger licking home made meals and have good conversations this is definitely the place to be.

"The ideal stay for relaxation in nature."

10.0

It’s like staying with your own family members. So friendly! The rooms are spotlessly clean and have lovely, quirky interior. The outdoor seating area is wonderful to watch the sunset. This is the place to come if you want to stay in a remote, quiet area to really take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owners have a huge area of land you can wander around with great scenery. They can provide tasty dinner and breakfast. It’s a 20 minute ride to the town, so bring snacks Alec if you want. I have such fond memories of staying here, I’m sure will have the same experience.

Eddy and Letty are very friendly people. The food, dinner (Letty even cooked for us) and breakfast) were good.

"Good place for an overnight stay in the Khorixas area"

10.0

Rural Namibia is not equipped for accommodating travellers on overnight stays. There are either campsites for tourists driving around with their rooftop-tented rentals or there are lodges which are in most cases ridiculously expensive, considering what you get for your money. There’s nothing in between. So, Letty and Eddy found a niche here and they deserve all the cudos for that. Just a clean, quiet overnight resting place for people who actually travel and not just follow the pre-booked itinerary of a lodge group like a flock of sheep in four-wheel drive. And for all the people who come to Namibia and are actually interested in meeting one or two local people from the country, this is your place to go - here is a family who built themselves a small tourist business without a big money-lodge chain in the back and they actually do deserve to be successful with that.

In the room description there’s a spa-bath/whirlpool stated. This does not exist, so don’t fall for that. But with a little bit of common sense it should be clear that you shouldn’t expect something like this in an accommodation like that. Just putting it out here, so that people don’t end up disappointed.

"Hidden gem"

10.0

This has truly been one of the best places we stayed in Namibia. The owners showed us kindness and hospitality immediately when they welcomed us with a smile. They talked to us and tell us more about the intresting place they live. They provided us with everything we needed while they didn't have to. The room we stayed in seemed completely new and later we find out they just recently build them. Beds were very comfortable and a/c saved us. Since there are no photos online I was pleasantly surprised to see such a nice and cozy room. Our stay was even better becuse of owners and their kids who were very confident and talkative. So if you are planning to book their room, don't forget to bring some watermelon for the kids, they loved it but preferably without seeds. On top of that ther coffee was the best one we had in Namibia and we had planty. Definitely recommend the place as it should get more recognition.
