Patience Airport cottages

The location was only 7 km from the airport.

The bathroom was filthy with cockroaches skittering around when you're trying to fall asleep. After your shower, your feet would be dirty again before getting to the bedroom to put your socks on. The 'deluxe room' is a complete misnomer. I pity the people in the regular room if this was the deluxe room. Plywood walls, vinyl tacked on in the shower, cramped room with nowhere to put your luggage, tiny little dirty walled hotel compound with maybe 3 rooms. Fortunately we had to get up early because the neighbouring roosters were crowing by 4 am. The chicken served for the dinner had almost no meat on it. Pretty much just bone. There might have been three small forkfuls of meat served to the two of us for $20 USD. An early taxi was reserved through the property, with a breakfast box to be supplied. At the allotted time, no one was up to provide the food box and no airport taxi was to be seen. I called and yelled, then started banging on the metal door to finally get someone's attention. We had a plane to catch. How this place gets the rating it has on booking.com is beyond me. Maybe because the other airport hotels have poor ratings as well. Find alternative accommodation!

The proximity to airport was good, and for what we wanted (place to sleep in between flights) it was just fine. Not enough hot water to shower for two and a little primitive but for those of us experienced Africa travelers it was sufficient. Enough outlets and reliable internet a plus

Raheem has a great host, he was always happy to help with everything. Had a home cooked meal prepped for us soon after arriving and a great breakfast of fruits and chapati.

The shower area was a bit run down and had a crack in the floor but never affected the use at all.

Rooms are as per the pictures functional and very nice for a short stay near the airport. The staff is amazing and kind. Very good breakfast as well!

Very cute little place close to the airport. Very friendly hosts that went out of their way to accommodate, even when we arrived late at night. Communication was always fast, kind, and helpful. We will come back :)

Perfect little cottage with super friendly family hosting. The bathroom is very basic but the bed was amazing. Very good price quality balance! Slept great and they arranged everting for me. Felt very safe as solo female traveler due to perfect pick up and drop off at the airport. Would recommend for a short night stay!
