MagTree Genting Highlands

Everything was amazing except for the unit that that MagTree owns.

Terrible smell in the first room. Extremely loud noise coming out of the electrical components in the celling. Staff automatically coming into the room with out authorization!!!

Breakfast that we paid and had in the hotel was terrible. After had the breakfast my wife had food poisoning because of the mee hoon soup and the cups are not clean. Fried rice spoiled already

Nothing. It’s an absolute disaster. I would usually never write a review but couldn’t help writing this as my family holiday was totally ruined due to this hotel experience. Other than the location of the property which is a short drive away from resort world, everything else is a big let down. This property should not be advertised as a hotel. It is rather an air bnb where you are left on your own once you check in. I booked 3 nights for $440 for 2 bedroom suite. Later I found that same suites are being offered at 50% lower rate on other sites so I felt quite cheated there from booking.com but couldn’t do much as it was a non refundable booking.

On check-in, I got a 2bedroom flat in tower 2. The apartment was very dirty and in run down condition. The full length window in master br was all covered in green mould which looked disgusting. Bathroom was mouldy and smelly. Water getting logged in shower area. There’s no way to contact the reception through phone. We were tired from long drive so just stayed there. Next day, requested for a room change and given apartment in tower 4. This one was relatively cleaner but water in washroom sink was seeping in very slowly and water clogging so again not a pleasant experience. After a full fun day at theme park, we came back in night and found that housekeeping was not done even after turning on “Make up my room” sign in morning and also reminding the same to the reception desk people while going out. Someone just left fresh towels on the table. It was very disappointing experience as we chose this hotel over air bnb just for housekeeping purpose. we were with our 3 kids and was expecting to come back to a clean apartment. Again no number to call and too tired to walk to the reception which was a good 10 min walk from that tower. Just compromised with the situation and checked out first thing in the morning. Overall THIS PROPERTY IS A DISASTER AND BADLY MAINTAINED AND DO NOT EXPECT ANY HOTEL SERVICES. YOU WON’T SEE ANY STAFF AROUND TO HELP YOU OUT.

the way check-in, really confusing... the breakfast cafe, rally lousy...

Advertised extra large bed and I get a queen size bed . No hot water in the bathroom and have to shower with freezing cold water.
