Roamrustic Camp Vattavada

Great stay overall. The camp is located on a hillside and looks like a small village tucked into the hills, especially when lit up at night. The view was beautiful and calming, with neat paths, huts, and lights spread across the slope. We reached in the afternoon and were welcomed with tea and snacks. Dinner was chapathi and chicken curry, and breakfast had idli, sambar, and chutney. Tasty and filling. The team, e Surya and his crew, were very helpful and friendly. They were always available and seemed to genuinely enjoy hosting. There are calm and friendly dogs at the camp too, which made the experience more relaxing. We stayed in the top tents, which gave us a great view. There’s a trek to a viewpoint nearby that gives a nice view of the village below. The place is quiet and away from the busy areas. You can even hear soft temple music and old Tamil songs in the distance. Very peaceful. It’s a bit off-road, but worth it. One of the best tenting options in Vattavada for sure.

The staff were not friendly. For around 60 people staying, only 3 bathrooms were provided. That too is a common toilet which is at long distance from the tent. No separate toilet for ladies. Not suitable for kids and elderly people. Cannot recommend.
