****WARNING - PROPERTY INFESTED WITH ROACHES**** If you don’t want to find yourself chasing roaches around the apartment in the middle of the night then I would suggest you look for an accommodation elsewhere. The apartment appeared to be clean and the staff member who we interacted with was very nice and professional. However, the landlord is nothing short of a liar and crook. In the phone conversation with him, he agreed to refund us the full amount of the stay and now he is refusing to follow through with his promise. Booking was not of much help in this matter. They were waiting for the landlord to agree to the full refund before they could do anything instead of refunding us the full amount and going after the landlord for not disclosing that there cockroaches present at the property. Imagine waking up at 1 am in a foreign country, with two small children at the peek of the season where most hotels are booked or closed to find cockroaches crawling all over the place……

The suroundings are clean aswell as the rooms and the pool. The host was really kind aswell. The location was good too. And we absolutely loved the pool. There were also chairs to tan on so that was really comfortable. We definately recommend this place.

Lovely staff and a very welcoming relaxed vibe. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We were in a smaller room but it was good value for what we paid. Pool and view are both fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we come back to Makarska.

Be mindful that it is about 2km steep uphill walk from the town centre. We didn't have a car so it was a pretty decent walk, especially when we had our luggage. Taxis are available but we found them quite expensive, so chose to just walk it most of the time. You can also hire scooters etc and the accommodation offer a discount code 😀.

The view, the size of the pool, flexible arriving time

The bed is really uncomfortable, the TV doestn't work, we said it to the host, but nothing happened during a week. The room is very small, you can't sit anywhere only on the uncomfy bed. The balcony is not separated from the common area, you don't have any private space outside. The common grill is too close to the balcony door and the window, you can't open them in the evenings cause the smoke gets in the room. The host doesn't speak english or german. I saw cockroach inside the house. It was really noisy, the host's relatives/friends were here, the children were screamig all day and evenings from 7.30 am till 22 pm in front of our balcony door. We were here few years ago, we loved this apartment house, but now we are so dissapointed and won't come back.

Property was nice, clean, air conditioned with decent size pool and nice hosts

Water in the pool was not heated most of the times (normally around 20*c), not a problem for me, but having little ones it could be a bit warmer and at evenings sometimes we had cold water in the shower (heating must have not been keeping up with amount of people). Advert says that area arround the back is secure, but unfortunately isn't with easy access out, where kids or pets can escape.
