Beverley Hills Cottage

Great location a short drive to the beach. Very clean and bright. Lovely decor. Great to have the pool to use and the private deck and BBQ. Very private and quiet. Owners did not bother us but were friendly and greeted us on arrival and chatted when we approached them. Great quality towels and sheets. Bonus to have Sky TV access. Everything was well thought out

The bed was small and the mattress was awful. We both kept falling into the middle of it. Most uncomfortable. Would have liked access to a washing machine.

The Guesthouse is immaculate and so cosy! It is beautifully furnished and the amenities are so well thought out, even down to platters for nibbles, plastic glasses for using by the pool and a little clothes air dryer rack for your wet togs. Everything was so clean it practically sparkled. The pool was lovely and even though the weather wasn't the best, we still made use of it and the views from the pool deck were gorgeous. Russel and Barbara are so lovely and we enjoyed meeting their dog Steiny, such a character! Four minutes from Whangamata town centre by car and some great cafes and restaurants. We highly recommend Rassasy for dinner by the way ;)

Very minor but the bedroom got quite hot overnight and our first night there we had trouble sleeping due to the heat. Even using the provided fan didn't give us much relief. Might be nice to install a ceiling fan or small heat pump for a/c. It rained overnight for our second night which cooled things down a lot, much more comfortable.
