Bonfire Hostels Rishikesh

I stayed at Bonfire Hostel in Tapovan, Rishikesh, for four days. Initially, I had booked a 4-bed female dormitory for just two days, as I didn’t plan to extend my stay. I arrived early at 8:30 AM, before the check-in time of 11 AM. Instead of waiting at the reception, they offered me the option to rest on the rooftop, where they have mixed dorm beds. I took the opportunity to relax and freshen up there. When I inquired about my booked dorm, it wasn’t ready yet, but after a short wait, they provided me with a private room for two people at no extra cost. Both my roommate and I enjoyed a comfortable stay with all the necessary amenities in the room. I can’t comment on the food since I preferred to go out and try local options instead of ordering from the hostel. I want to especially thank Mr. Ayush Mittal, who was incredibly helpful and always ready to answer any questions. He was also very friendly and funny. You can book activities like river rafting and bungee jumping and many through the hostel, and I did river rafting, which turned out to be some of the best experiences of my life. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there.

No cleanliness at all. The entire hostel is surrounded by construction work going on which offcourse nobody will publicize. The breakfast quality was horrible. Door Locks were broken . Nothing was clean in that Hostel.

Ayush, the owner, was extremely friendly, helpful, kind, and cheerful. He made us feel like family. The hostel is large and the rooms spacious. We had wonderful views from the terrace outside our penthouse apartment. We're deeply thankful to Ayush for the interesting conversations, for his warmth, and for taking care of our every need.

The penthouse is at the 7th floor so we had very weak water pressure in the shower, but it's probably better in the lower floors.

The staff at Bonfire are very helpful and talkative and they offer a great program of yoga and classes to all visitors. I slept very well and the bedroom was nice and spacious. I arrived earlier than my check in time and they were very accommodating where it was feasible.

- The first room I was allocated was really dirty. There was mould on the sheets, pillowcases, duvet, walls and inside the fridge and the surfaces seemingly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. After some negotiation I was then given a different room that was a massive improvement. - The WiFi signal didn't reach my room - They have an amazing roof terrace, but not many shaded areas to sit - The pillows are comfortable, but they need to buy some new ones as they are quite unpleasant under the pillowcases

The property is huge , absolutely in the heart of the town, very well maintained and it caters to every kind of traveller with their individual needs and preferences . Ayush is an extremely wonderful host and he makes you feel at home right from the word Go. The moment you step into the property, you feel like you are stepping into HOME. Those travellers who are into Yoga should definitely choose this property as they have in-house Yoga sessions with full time teachers.

The property is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and courteous. The owner is willing to help in anyway and with information to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Has a great view from the terrace. Has easy access to restaurants, cafés, ATM and the yoga centres in the vicinity.

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in the room. The location is about 5mins walk from the main road on an incline.

The staff was the best thing we loved and the rooftop gym was a good thing to start a day with yoga and exercise. Wish we had few more nights. We surely coming back!
