Quietness

The smell of the gas

Beautiful views, very peaceful, close to Underberg and easy to get to. Our host Amy was very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to use the bathroom in the main house while they prepared the unit for us. The unit is well equipped and has a gas heater was much needed on our visit. The night skies are stunning, wish I had carried a telescope along. We could hear owl and black back jackal at night and could see Cape Vulture and Yellow billed kite during the day. This is a great place to book if you are visiting the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide, as you are literally 2 minutes away from the hide entrance.

Unfortunately we had arrived the day after a massive snow storm which had knocked out the power and cellphone towers were down in the area which meant they were not prepared for us when we got there, these things happen and we totally understand that. Since there was no gas geyser in the two bedroom unit which we had booked, we had to use the 1 bed unit, luckily we were able to make do.

Perfect setting, beautiful location, cozy accommodation. Perfect for our family.

When we arrived at the place no body new about the booking so we had to get a other place at extra cost.

The location is amazing.

Arriving at the cottage and having to clean the toilet and fridge before we could use. A major water leak on the floor outside the shower door and in front of the basin. By the time we left we had put 3 rugs on top of it to absorb the water. Not pleasant using the shower and basin. The entire cottage and contents are in dire need of a deep clean and update. The garden needs attention as well, long grass around the cottage, especially veranda, needs to be trimmed, plus the rest.

The location and outlook from unit was good with stunning views across the valley.

The cleaniliness of the unit was not up to standard,bathroom toilet leaks back of pan and shower. The gas stove ignited but did not stay on and could not locate an iron in the place to iron clothes
