Gar nichts

We stayed at Sigiriya Peacock and were disappointed by several issues. We were not informed that while we could use the pool of the neighboring hotel, bringing our own alcoholic drinks was not allowed. Additionally, the owner’s child was very poorly behaved, taking our belongings and throwing them into a large water container. In the mornings, the child also threw other guests’ shoes down the stairs. The owner made no effort to set boundaries or manage her child’s behavior. Overall, this significantly affected our experience.

Peacock homestay zit op een mooie rustige plek, maar wel relatief ver van het centrum van Sigiriya. De mensen zijn erg lief, maar veel kunnen geen woord engels. De gastvrouw is de enige die engels praat, ze wil je ook graag helpen.

De foto’s van het zwembad is van het zwembad van de buren. Je mag daar ook zwemmen, dit wisten wij op onze eerste dag niet. Schrik niet van het ‘niet zo nette’ zwembad wat open ligt op eigen terrein, deze is niet in gebruik. Nog een ander puntje is dat de douche niet warm wordt.

The hosts were great, super kind and welcoming! The pool 10/10, we loved it. There was air conditioning in the room, water temperature and pressure in the shower were great. The breakfast was delicious, homemade Sri Lankan food every morning. We went hiking at 5am one day and they gave us Tupperware of fruit to take with us and then gave us breakfast when we came back. The double bed is big, comfortable for 2 people with extra space. The room and bathroom were clean when we arrived.

The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room (we were in the 3 people room upstairs), we noticed overall it only worked if 1 person was connected but it couldn't handle more devices. The bathroom room made a lot of noise to open and close, which was not super comfortable or convenient at night.

Les photos présentées sur le site ne correspondent pas à la réalité car la piscine n'appartient pas à l'hôtel mais à celui d'à côté qui figure sur les photos alors qu'ils sont distincts. La chambre en rez-de-chaussée est très humide y compris les draps ce qui n'est pas agréable

Familia encantadora, buena acogida. La habitación tiene todo lo indispensable y la ubicación es muy buena. El desayuno es bastante variado y con cantidad.

Dobrá lokalita, neďaleko Sigiriya. Mila rodina, ktorá sa snažila spríjemniť náš pobyt. Môžete využívať bazén vo vedľajšom zariadení, ktorí je veľmi čistý. Hostiteľka nám poponúkla uvariť večeru ktorá bola mimoriadne chutná a bohatá. Jediné negatívum bolo, že naša izba bola dosť tmavá a v kúpeľni bol zápach po kanáli.
