Briet Apartments Akureyri

This was the perfect pair of apartments for our group! We are two teachers and had 7 students with us, so the distribution of beds was ideal, and the backstaircase through the laundry room meant we could have the girls all downstairs and the boys upstairs. The large table and couch in the upstairs living room were great community hang-out spaces. The location was excellent as well--beautiful views of the fjord and mountains and the city below, and easy to walk to most attractions we were interested in (and only a 10 minute drive to others). Highly recommend to groups coming to Akureyri, it was really lovely.

The ONLY things were that it took us awhile to figure out how to switch the downstairs bathtub to the shower and the hosts didn't message back when I asked for instructions (I was afraid I'd break something!); and I didn't fully understand the oven in the upstairs apartment and did a terribly job trying to cook some chicken, so some instructions for that would be helpful to leave behind for Americans, our ovens are VERY different, typically.

Well-stocked kitchen with lots of spices. Washer and dryer functioned well and were in a room, so we could shut the door and keep the noise out. Near to shops and amenities. Blackout curtains were good.

Die Betten waren bequem.

Viele Regeln wurde an uns gesendet. Was wir in der Wohnung zu tun haben. Die Wohnung war aber nicht sauber. Mit 5 Personen gab es nicht genügend Essstühle. Da wir zu fünft anreisten, hiess das bezüglich Ausstattung, dass jrmand auf demSofa schlafen muss. Soweit wäre das kein Problem. Das Sofa war aber total schmutzig. Das Haus und die Umgebung sind nicht gepflegt. Der Grill wäre zur Benutzung da. Aber so wie der aussieht, will den niemnd brauchen. Die Lichter im Gang waren mehrheitlich kaputt. Man hat grosse Erwartungen wenn man mit so vilen Vorschriften konfrontiert wird. Wenn es dann aber selbst nicht gepflegt und geputzt wird, ist das leider ein Witz. Sorry!

Easy entry. We appreciated the nice tea selection and the apartment was well appointed. Street parking was easy.

More than one key would be good. The coffee maker had water in it a long time and was dirty and had to be cleaned thoroughly before use. It was very dusty and dirty under the beds. One bed was not made up upon arrival. The door to the room with the large bed did not close properly. We couldn't figure out how to get the ironing board off the wall.
