Jawakara Islands Maldives

Our island host, Looth, was absolutely delightful! He made our stay extremely enjoyable by caring for every single detail, even making sure to substitute our welcome champagne for non-alcoholic champagne since we don’t drink, and making sure our itinerary suited us well. The à la carte restaurants were fantastic to say the least, and the island staff was very nice and hospitable. Massive shoutout to all the restaurant and bar staff, especially Taha, who went above and beyond to make our meal at Umi one of the best we’ve had in a while! Since we were staying at Dheru, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the small couples’ island and at the same time do activities and enjoy the liveliness and activities in the Maabin island.

The buffet food definitely could’ve been better, and so could the beach BBQ, other than that everything was excellent.

Staff, long walks - walks over the bridge during night - beautiful beach on the west side (inside atoll) - diving was average but again that’s nature - overall we had a very nice stay!

Small things really: we had half board and after diving we wanted a sandwich- we were told that this is impossible between 13.00-15.00 - I find that strange. Prodivers: generally ok, not very experienced- at the end we were charged for a broken fin we rented out: we were not aware we broke it but even if we had: this was rented out many times before and it was just the material which was old

Impeccable beauty with amazing customer service. The two islands are large enough where you get a bike to cycle around but small enough to feel really secluded out in nature. The water is calm and magical and the restaurant/ pool area on the smaller island is stunning. I highly recommend the all inclusive package. Amazing drinks and an extensive wine list.

Just a few things to note: -the buffet is very good but not jaw drop amazing (we were all inclusive so didn’t get to try the other restaurants) -there is a fair amount of sea grass by the overwater villas depending on what time of year you go, as it changes by the season. The sea grass disturbs the picture perfect turquoise water, so be sure to request one of the villas with no sea grass -similar to previous point, if you’re at a beach villa on the west side of the islands, seaweed / sea grass washes up on shore during some parts of the year.

We had a villa on the water. Of course, it's an amazing view. Impeccable cleanliness (cleaned twice a day). I liked everything, a charming island, an unforgettable holiday. Delicious food and very responsible and qualified staff. We were lucky to meet Nappe. He was our host. A wonderful, responsible person. He knows his business. He always fulfilled our every whim. Nappe, thank you very much. My recommendation: Better to choose villa on the water. If you choose villa on the beach, you may encounter representatives of island's wildlife in your bathroom.

Everything is fine. No complaints, just one suggestion: maintain your level of service.

There should be a little store to buy random things that you may forget to take on holiday like baby wipes or a hair brush (the island shop only sells souvenirs)

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to a lot of places, but nothing to compare with the experience I had at Jawakara. If you’re looking for a place in Maldives, stop searching and choose Jawakara.
