The Hedistar Hotel Kyoto Nijo Comic & Books

We booked the hotel because of its huge collection of books and especially manga books in the lobby. Guests can take a book to the room to read, that is a very good idea. The hotel is located near the Nijo Castle and we were lucky to have the chance to attend Sakura Nights at Nijo Castle. The Kyoto central station is a bit far but there are busses, the centre and Nishiki Market are at a walkable distance. There is a small Japanese restaurant just 20 meters from the hotel with very cheap and very tasty food- we enjoyed eating there. The room was clean. We even used the hotel's service to send our luggage from Kyoto to Osaka.

Everything was good.

It is at a good location and closer to the castle.

Considering the amount rooms are very tiny.

Das Personal war sehr nett

Die Lage ist nicht unbedingt die beste. Es ist zwar gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen, da die Haltestelle quasi vorm Hotel ist, aber die Busse sind unglaublich überfüllt. Wir sind mit Baby und Kinderwagen gereist und da war es leider nicht möglich mit dem Bus zu fahren. Das Hotel wirbt auf der Seite mit Zimmer mit Fenster und tatsächlich sind aber die Doppelzimmer „ohne“ Fenster. Dh es gibt zwar ein „Fenster“ aber das nächste Haus ist direkt mit der Fassade an die des Hotels gebaut, somit hat man also nur ein „falsches“ Fenster und das Zimmer hat kein Tageslicht. Für uns ein absolutes no-Go. Leider war die Sauberkeit auch nicht so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Das Personal war aber in Summe sehr sehr nett. Es wird zwar gar kein Englisch verstanden und gesprochen aber mit übersetzter konnte alles geklärt werden.
