Pieter ist ein cooler Typ, bei dem man sich auf Anhieb wohl fühlt. Er hat uns viel über das Leben in der Umgebung erzählt und spontan 2 " extravagante" Ausflüge mit einem sehr hohen Erinnerungswert und hohem "Funfaktor" unternommen.

Peter and Cam were great hosts, had a lovely evening with them and the volunteers who were staying there. Peter is very knowledegeable on S.Africa and neighboring countries themselves , so I got the chance to get some valuable advice for my trip. Also had the oportunity to join them for a a tasty braai!

High clearance vehicle, ideally a 4WD, recommended to get to accomodation, especially to make through the sandy patches in the last few kms of the quite long dirt road (found myself in trouble driving a Sedan there). Also important to get instructions beforehand with Peter on how to get to the campsite, since Google Maps wasn't much reliable for the area.

Definitely an awesome experience to be in the remote wilderness at Winterdodgers. Great hosts, great accomodations, great food... amazing views into the green areas around it and always a nice sunrise and sunset to watch. Really a place to disconnect and be closer to nature!
