Ryokan Tenryu

The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, providing excellent service. The cozy room featured a private, authentic onsen and was very spacious and clean. Both the Japanese dinner and breakfast were fantastic! Thank you for preparing the cake and celebrating my husband’s birthday with a lovely birthday song. It was a wonderful touch!

It was an amazing stay.. Although there are very few shops and no restaurants near the hotel, we had such a relaxing time staying at this hotel. It sits right next to the river, the view was amazing, everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

It was the first time we rented a car and decided on this property. We were pleasantly surprised at the recently renovated and up to date/modern facility. The staff was better than great and went out of their way to care for us. There were two private bath that were available to reserve as a family or couple too- it was very nice! Also, the breakfast and dinner was one of the best we had at a ryokan. We will remember our experience here for a long time. P.s. - the staff shared of a nearby waterfall that we walked to - it was beautiful and peaceful.

Although the property was great, it was sad to see the neighboring properties were shut down/closed. Knowing what we experienced, it would not stop us from going there again, given the opportunity.
