Stone Cottage

This home was absolutely spectacular. We rented it for a group of 6, as we were attending a wedding nearby. We almost skipped the wedding because we didn’t want to leave! A peaceful haven off the main roads, and really in the heart of the Tipperary countryside. We could have spent the day outside on the covered patio. There were even cows over the ditch! The building itself appears newly renovated, but oozing with the traditional build and the extension is nothing short of a journey! Natural light flowing all day. I’d imagine a super place for a group of 8-10 people for a quiet getaway or small, family/friends celebration. We are deciding our excuse to return! Margaret was super to deal with, besides not meeting her, we felt very much welcomed and at home! Thanks a million!

Stone Cottage is in a lovely quiet area and an ideal location for our group of 7. The house had everything we needed, a lovely big kitchen, two indoor seating areas and we also had a few outdoor areas for sitting out in which was lovely as the weather was perfect. The house itself was immaculate. Extremely tidy, fresh clean bedding and lovely soft fluffy towels. You can tell the hosts had put a lot of thought into little touches throughout, we especially enjoyed the gift basket and ice in the freezer! The rooms are a great size and perfect with two of them being en suite. There was also another larger bathroom off the kitchen. The hosts were very responsive and friendly when I contacted them at any point. All in all we had a fab time and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for everything.

The property is quite charming and feels like a quintessential Irish cottage. The house had more that what we needed, where every bedroom had a bath, the kitchen was well equipped, and the washer and dryer were a much needed amenity after traveling for over a week. There were two white donkeys in a fenced in areas on the property which were a lovely addition and made the location feel more special.

The bedding could have been a bit higher quality. After long days of travel a super-comfortable bed always feels great. The dining room had two couches for seating around the table. Chairs would be been easier to navigate and maybe more comfortable.

The property and its owner are outstanding. During an overnight stay with family and friends we couldn't have been happier! The bar is located in the original cottage, where we sat around till the wee hours chatting & having the craic in front of the log fire. The Guinness was incredible, we had arranged a keg which the host kindly set up ahead of our stay. Loved the floorplan, which allowed children to sleep undisturbed by our laughter. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate made our stay so much easier. The attention to detail is second to none, with everything being taken into consideration. We had our morning coffee outdoors in the newly built gazebo while the children ran around. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, so peaceful and relaxing. Cannot wait to return!

I didn't meet Margaret this time, as another of our party got there before me, but I know, from staying here that Margaret must be a perfectionist. The house was perfectly clean, cosy and comfortable. Will be back without a doubt.
