GBGBThe hotel was very new so everything was in excellent condition and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size with lots of storage space (although no clothes hangers?) A nice view from the balcony. The area is quiet and a few local eateries not too far.
The location was a bit of a walk from the main area across the bridge. and all the restaurants and bars. We only walked it once as the bridge is definitely not pedestrian friendly and my wife was very scared. There isn't a pavement for walkers and the motorcycles/tuk tuks come past very close and at great speed. It is only $1 for a tuk tuk with the Pass app so no problem. The main issue for us is that we booked the hotel as it had a roof-top area with swimming pool which wasn't actually swimmable and there was still work going on around the pool and cafe area. Also, we were in the room directly below so it was very noisy (over the weekend). Not sure how they did the photos on the website which enticed us in! Would have given a higher score. Anyway, bad timing for us, but the owners were very nice and apologetic and no noise the next two mornings! It will be lovely when finished (probably by now) and wish the business well.
