Friendly staff

Our first room (no.8) was missing remote contol for aircon and the main lights over bed area were not working so it was extremeny dark, the woodwork in many places was chipped and worn. We were then moved to another room (no.19) and whilst the room was better there was a strong smell of damp, the gentleman that checked us in agreed with this and he offered to move us to a third room at which point my partner declined as it was getting late and she had already unpacked her bag twice at this stage.. There are one or two steps that go down from bedroom into bathroom which are quite dangerous if you are not aware of them, especially if you need to use bathroom in the middle of the night. A sign warning guests of this would be a good idea. At 05h15 on Sunday morning, we were abruptly woken by the sound of a big delivery truck and trailer reversing into the property and people shouting directions to the driver. this was most frustrating as we were very tired from a full day of driving the previous day and we were not able to go back to sleep due to the constant noise.

Neat, compact hotel with spacious room and bathroom. Quiet with a country feeling despite being on the main road.

The TV sound did not work and the food was plentiful but homely. Neither are deal-breakers.

I thought the patio area and TV corner were scruffy & unhygienic with stray cats etc

The breakfast was cold, the coffee mschine did not work properly and the eggs weren't cooked properly.

Or toilet wasn't flushed when we got there and there were sand in the bed

The breakfast was amazing and fresh and quick

The parking was not so great for the room we got, we had 3 bakkies and did not have a space to park infront of the room

Breakfast was good, and the location was ok also

(1) Did not have bedside mats; we had to use small towels for that purpose (2) During breakfast, two annoying behaviours were observed: (1) whenever you needed help, one had to look around all corners to locate the hotel staff, and (2) for both days, we had to ask for plates and bowls when we were to dish out food. (3) No one showed us how to operate the tea/coffee dispenser, and the hotel staff was not nearby.

After a long drive stopped over for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stayThe beds was clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning worked as it was very hot. The breakfast was wonderful enough to start our drive.

Accessibility and WiFi connection. The staff was also okay and friendly.

The main issue was the cleanliness and practicality of the room we were assigned. The bathroom shower showed visible signs of dirt and mould, and there was no air circulation, so you can imagine the smell coming from the bathroom itself. We had informed the hotel in advance that we would be bringing a toddler and requested an additional bed, which they provided. However, I don’t understand why they would place a couple with a toddler in a unit that only has showers. The service on our first night at the hotel was disappointing. When we took our child to the pool area near the bar and restaurant, no waiters came to assist us. I had to approach them myself to request the menu, which was an unpleasant experience and negatively impacted the mood of our stay.

Convenient for a stopover and lots of choices of where to sit at meals

Nothing really but it’s just a hotel with a restaurant.
