The Beachwalk

I like that it was a short walk to the beach and you could hear the ocean. It was very clean. The owners were quick to respond but limited on being helpful. The water was hot and that was a plus for when we needed to shower to warm up from the heater not working.

The house was clean but there were some items broken or that didn't work. The microwaves handle was broken as well as the toaster. There was some other odd things like repairs not being finished. For example the towel handles were moved and there was holes left unpatched. Around the tub was unfinished. The downstairs toilet which was located in the guest bedroom ( kind of an inconvenience if someone were staying in there)was broken and would hit the wall every time you sat down or got up from it. The downstairs shower was also cracked. Again those were cosmetic issues not the big of a deal. The biggest issue was there was no heat. The heater blew freezing cold air the entire time. The house never got above 61 degrees. When we reached out to the owners the first response was to check if the windows were open. Then they asked us to reset it and then suggested they try to set the temp on their end. The final response was they apologized and told us to use extra blankets. The extra blankets were throw blankets and not very thick. Same with the comforters that seemed like summer ones. It made our stay very miserable. We even tried to reset the heater more than once. We had to sleep with layers of clothing on just to keep warm. One of the days it was warmer outside then inside. We eneded up just turning the entire unit off on our last night because it sadly made it warmer. The other bummer was the beds were not very comfortable and you could feel the box spring thru the mattress.
