Good location with ample parking.

MOLD & MILDEW are the most significant problems. So much so that we had to leave early and find alternative accommodations. There are several additional and more minor problems that other reviewers have also identified (e.g., front door gets stuck, lack of amenities including bath soap, paper towels, fitted sheet that did not fit the pull out couch). The place has potential if these problems are acknowledged and addressed. And, frankly, some of the fixes would be pretty easy. We were very disappointed.

De locatie was prima. Op loopafstand van het centrum en toch heel rustige buurt. De mogelijkheid tot parkeren bij het huis was goed, voor de deur! Ruime slaapkamer op de vide en het dakterras.

Het huis was vochtig. Onze kleren waren in de kledingkast zelfs vochtig. Dit is niet goed, zeker als je astmatisch bent. We denken dat dit aan de periode van het seizoen ligt, maar kan goed opgelost worden door beter te luchten en de airco aan te zetten ruim voor de gasten komen. Gelukkig was het goed weer waardoor we veel buiten hebben kunnen doen.

Location is excellent - easy walk to the river, restaurants, downtown and the salt marshes. Grocery stores are very accessible. Kitchen is mostly well equipped and the shower pressure is great. The washing machine worked well, although I had to look up instructions on the internet (no dryer, just a drying rack). The little roof patio gets fantastic morning sun and was a lovely place to hang out. The bed is very firm - which was fantastic for me. Public parking was close and often available directly outside the villa. Wifi quality was good. This place is perfect for a 1-2 person stay.

The kitchen didn't have dish soap, paper towels, cooking oil, and some other basics that you expect in a self-catering and at the same time there was some old food left from the previous guest. The front door was very sticky (it needs its draught excluder replaced.) There is no extraction fan in the bathroom and this causes severe moisture build-up as well as black mold to grow if you don't keep the door and windows open all the time. There are no insect screens for the doors or windows, so if you keep them open at dusk/dawn you'll get mosquitoes. I stayed here for three weeks and had to clean the place myself and replace some supplies - there really should be a weekly clean - even if it's an extra charge. Lastly, I would suggest furnishing the sleeping loft with a desk and office chair, so people don't have to use the dining table.

Emanuelle hatte mir alles gut erklärt. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung hatte mir schon während meine Buchung gefallen. Auch entscheidend für mich war, dass es genügend Parkplätze gab. Die Kombination aus Gemütlichkeit und Funktionalität in der Wohnung hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen, alles war gut positioniert. Und dass man zum Schlafen nach oben geht hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen. Dass sich das Badezimmer zum Innenhof befand, fand ich lustig, im Sommer bestimmt sehr angenehm, jetzt im November natürlich etwas frisch, aber ein Handtuch unter den Füßen im Waschbereich hat dann geholfen, den kleinen Teppich, der womöglich dafür gedacht war, hatte ich natürlich vor das WC gelegt, denn in meinem Alter, 55, muss man des öfteren nachts auf die Toilette gehen, und da will man keine kalten Füße bekommen.

Das einzige Manko ist halt, für eine große Person mit 190 cm, die niedrigen Türen, wenn ich mich nicht darauf konzentriert hatte, beim Durchgehen den Kopf einzuziehen, hatte ich ihn mir natürlich am Rahmen gestoßen.
