Villa Trinacria Apartments

Location

Condition was different from the photos, as most of the apartment's items were very worn down. The double bed mattress or frame is irregular, giving us back aches after sleeping there for some time. Curtains are almost falling. Fridge with loose doors. The shower did not fit in its support and fell at least twice on our heads, so we had to tweak it not to. No silverware enough for 3 people (2 forks in an apartment that supports 6 people), broken cork opener. One and a half rolls of toilet paper for 3 people in 8 days. Faucets in really bad shape. In total, seems that there is no maintenance in general. I was charged by the owner, out of the booking, for some local tax of €1.50 per person per day or €36, what I found to be strange as the owner should be responsible for taxes. It is the first time I rent something below rating 8.0, but it is not even worth 4.0. P.S.: After reviewing the house ad, I decided to add some comments: 1. I rented the 2 bedrooms apartment, the Red one. 2. The house/villa is really overlooking the sea, as it is in a hill, but it does not offer direct access to the beach as reported, as there is a trainline crossing below. By car, IIRW, you have to drive around one and a half mile to get near the beach and Google Maps reports a 550m/7min walk. 3. Nowhere in the ad there is mention of the additional tax above, only a mention about Booking taking the payment and you needing money for extras, but taxes are not extras, they are part of the main rent value unless you are evading them.

small little old apartment.. nothing like the pictures. Apparently there are four different apartments. But not clear when reading the information/ booking. The mattress was the worse we have ever slept in. We have been traveling for almost forty years, and have stayed in many places . The dishes were dirty. The apartment was full of aints we left after one night.

The house was great 👍

We loved the view. Vila and the terrace was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the evening grill parties.

The beds and mattresses could be more comfortable.
