Great location, trees and mountains all around

A little bit dated and could do with a lick of paint. Be sure to buy supplies before you go, no convenience stores nearby

The staff were affable.

We were given the old wing and the rooms were old and didn’t match what was shown on booking.com. Facilities were really old and dated. Peeling wall paper and the rooms don’t give me good vibes. Food was okay and the onsen was not well maintained too. There were dead insects in the outdoor pool that I had to use the netting to clear on my own. Very highly priced for such poorly maintained accommodations. I will not recommend this place. Felt cheated of the deep price I paid.

Everything else. It’s in dire need of refurbishment. Wall paper was peeling in different parts of the hotel. Definitely not worth the price they are charging. Kaiseki was average. Onsen experience was also subpar. Housekeeping just left the yukata on the floor where we left them, without even bothering to hang them up. Room pictures did not match property’s photos on booking.com. For the amount of money that we paid, we were expecting a luxurious property. But we were greeted with a place that looked like it was falling apart and stuck in the 1950s. We were extremely disappointed with the experience and would not recommend this to anyone.

This little hotel is in beautiful surroundings. The Japanese style room was very spacious with a river view. The food served was excellent as was the natural Jane’s baths.

Could do with a lick of paint would be my only comment
