Urban Retreat

The property was secured and easy to find. The security was nice and helpfull and the cleaner was friendly. The building is new and have a potential, We asked if we could check in earlier at 1 and we were told it was ok but when we arrived at 1:45 the cleaner was still there but she was ok to let us in.

We booked to stay here for one night as our other longer stay apartment was not ready until the following day. The reason we chose this place was the name ‘Retreat’ plus swimming pool and bottle of wine. As mentioned when we arrived the cleaner was still working, apparently she had a problem with washing machine so there was washing left on and some outside in the balcony to dry. I had pointed out to her some cleaning she had missed then that’s when I noticed she used the same cloth to wipe out everything, table ,mirror, bathroom and the floor. I asked where was the wine and she told me she is still to go and collect it from the host, at this time we have also learned that the swimming pool was not working. I have asked to speak to the host as we were told he stayed at the same complex but he never showed up only the cleaner brought the wine later. Upon asking the host about the swimming pool situation he was sorry and he told us we are free to check out and find somewhere else with the swimming pool and he will refund us immediately. At this point we decided to stay as we had traveled 18 hours and were too tired and was already cooking. Later on I decided to take shower and that’s when I noticed there was no towels anywhere else, I messaged the host to ask and by the time he replied and offered to bring more towels it was very late and had already used two towels that were left in the balcony. The master shower is not draining properly so gathers some dirty and also found some tissues, in the smaller bedroom we found a used tissue in the closet. Everything have sharp corners including the doors frames and I was concerned for my kids. This place has a potential but all the above need to be sorted out, was hoping to see the host and give him feedback and few tips too as I work in hospitality and cleaning myself but it didn’t happen.

That the pool was out of order 😭😭

Staying at the Urban Retreat was a rejuvenating experience. The serene ambiance, coupled with the top-notch amenities, provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The attentive staff and exquisite decor made every moment truly memorable.

I loved how the setup was and how clean the place was. I liked how easy it was to communicate with the host as I even contacted the host at 23:30 and they replied within 10 mins

I didn't like the shower drainage as it was very slow to get rid of the water but besides that very good place to stay at

Just like the pictures. Neat. Host was accommodating and even offered us a bottle of wine. The unit had a a battery in case of electricity going off which it it. So that was very helpful.

The pool area was not in use. Too many flies. The drainage system was slow. So when you shower you get a pool of water. We had only 1 towel. The others had just been washed so they were hanged outside to dry and one had stains

Beautiful place, felt like home away from home.

please do not ever book this place its a scam i was so disappointed ,on the day i was suppose to arrive i got a massage from the host telling me to cancel my booking because the apartment is no longer available, he did not response to my calls or anything ,i was left stranded at the gate with suitcases and the guard refused to let me in telling me that the host said the apartment is not available ,i tried calling booking.com and they also could not help me

that place is a scam, an hour before u are arrive u get a call from the host telling u the apartment is no available telling u to cancel so that he can cash in your money, i was left stranded at the gate the guard woulnt let me because the host told him my booking is canceled,

Accommodation set up was okay, comfortable

1. No hot water to shower 2. One towel available 3. Too many flies in the accommodation 4. Washing was left running for hours after arrival 5. Fridge was not clean 6. Name of apartment and address different to what is on Booking.com
