A breathtaking home with wonderful hosts. We had such a great time. The apartment is large and decorated in a style that gives justice to its long history. The view is fantastic, and with only 20 km to Florence it is ideal to combine the beauty of the Italian countryside with a visit to one of Italys most historic old cities. You can take the car or better yet park your car in the nearby town of Pontasieve and take the train right into the center of Florence. The pool is big and even though we experienced high temperatures the water was still refreshing. We absolutely loved it. In the area there is possibility of hiking, wine tasting and several restaurants within a short drive. If you prefer making food yourselves the kitchen is well equipped. You can enjoy a home cooked meal on the terrace while watching the sun set. There is a popular classic Italian delicatessen just up the road (3 minutes walk) selling traditional Italian cold cuts, bread, olives, cakes, wine and more. At last but not least was the helpfulnes and great time with our hosts. They are always ready with good advice and helping to make reservations. If you have any interest in the history please don’t hesitate to ask them about the history of Villa Paterno - it is very fascinating. We had a wonderful week, would love to come back. Thanks
