We loved Scopello and loved our stay at Villa Michela. It is in a great location with only a short 5min walk to the closest beach (all down to get there and all up to get home) which was a reasonably quiet beach with mostly locals or Italian tourists it seemed. Also a 20min walk (also quite hilly with a steep climb to get up to the main road) to Scopello but definitely not too hard and definitely worthwhile. Can also drive (5 mins) with paid parking just outside the town centre.

Only some minor things. There was only one roll of toilet paper supplied. Some simple kitchen basics such as olive oil, dishwashing detergent and tablets for the dishwasher would have been very helpful. Also some detergent for the washing machine. None of these things were supplied but perhaps this is standard for Sicily and we expect too much.
