Excellent prompt and detailed clear communication with host Maurício via WhatsApp and the booking.com platform. He provided lots of local information. He arranged a transfer from the airport, again Excellent communication with the taxi driver via WhatsApp and a smooth pleasant journey to the apartment. I used the same taxi company for my return journey. The apartment is in a building with secure entrance, elevator to the 5th floor "penthouse " feel. No noisy neighbours! Extremely spacious apartment. Good lighting. All mod cons and good brand facilities. Comfortable cosy bed. Comfortable sofa. Smart TV with Netflix Prime etc. Great kitchen. Really good Washing machine that I used. Large dining table. Fabulous spacious balcony with amazing views where i enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening. Maurício very kindly gave me complimentary bottle of red wine and water. Plenty towels. Apartment is 3-4 minutes walk to Anadia shopping centre which has a huge grocery supermarket Pingo. In the other direction left from the entrance is another excellent supermarket Continente about 5 mins walk which i preferred and is very popular. Location is very close to the sea and old town. Easy access to walk everywhere from here. I really enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommend.

No overhead rainfall shower The handheld shower could be attached to a holder in the wall but it kept falling which made it challenging to shower. The wall fixing needs to be better to hold the shower Or better to install a rainfall shower which is my normal experience in all other apartments around Europe now.

Location was excellent and convenient for walking around Funchal center and along the sea front. Close to many nice restaurants and the old town. Very good location for supermarkets and other types of shopping. Our Host Mauricio was excellent and very helpful and contactable if necessary. Cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable as were other facilities. Home away from home.

Traffic Noise was very loud from approx 7:30 am to 21;00 approx each weekday. it was not as intense at weekend. Apartment was bathed in sunshine from early morning until approx 16:00 each day unless there was cloud cover. There was air conditioning but unless it was left on the temperature climbed in the Apt and made it uncomfortably hot. If outer windows or balcony doors were open the traffic noise was annoying. However this would not put us off staying here again as we did get used to it and were out and about during the day.

Everything was very good, the kitchen is very well equipped and clean. The host Mauricio was very kind and helpful, provided us with very detailed instructions for a late self check-in. The location of the apartment was great, sometimes it gets a little loud because of the traffic but it wasn't a problem for us.

Maybe water had a little bit of a weird smell sometimes which wasn't that big of a deal but still worth a notice.

Everything just like the pictures and the host was really nice and flexible.

Appartement très bien situé, il est dans le centre de Funchal on peut tout faire à pied ! Le balcon est super sympa, un peu bruyant mais fenêtre fermé plus aucun bruit Appartement bien équipé, rien à dire, je recommande !
