Beautiful view of the valley and the blue cranes.

Beautiful view of the mountain, quiet surrounds and very well located between Middleburg and Colesburg. The furniture and bedding was modern and good quality. The European style breakfast was outstanding. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly, especially Charlene who was a superstar and took initiative to make us as comfortable as possible.

Booking process was a nightmare. We struggled on various platforms to book the room earlier in the day and arrived at the farm with the resident staff having no knowledge of our booking. Despite this Charlene who received us was a superstar and got the room ready for us in a very short time. Quite a bit of maintenance and thorough spring cleaning is needed though. The School rooms don't have an outside entertainment/ braai area, just awning for the cars, so you need to drive up to the main guesthouse to access this. We were also told by the owner that we needed to book the Karoo lamb braaipack dinner at least 24hours in advance. Huge disappointment for our son was that the advertised swimming pool was not functional.

Suitable for an overnighter

Lovely, quaint. Has everything you need for a pleasant stay down to a mini bar. Location is great as its just of the n9 but you don't hear the road noise really and excellent spot to see some lovely stars.

Peacefulness and tranquility

Road construction workers were also sleeping there. Our neighbour in the next room were on his phone the entire night talking loudly. We did not sleep at all. He had no consideration for other people. Had I known we had to share with rowdy road workers I would never have booked there.

I loved everything. The view is very nice and the accommodation is excellent. Very comfortable and the beer after a very long drive was a nice touch

Had a packed breakfast as i had to leave early (before service opened) - was very nice. A little surprised, when Breakfast was included in the rate that i had to pay extra for the packed option?

Beautiful Karoo views, Accomodation very clean. Everything you need for a perfect stopover!!
