Praticamente tutto accoglienza proprietari e dipendenti sorridenti, gentili rassicuranti. Pulizia e confort stanza eccezzionali, in mezzo ad un paradiso di piante tropicali praticamente sulla spiaggia. Colazione in stile italiano ed internazionale frutta tropicale, spremute di frutta frittata con formaggi pancake con marmellate e miele dolci fatti in casa di tutti i tipi, the caffe' dimentico sicuramente qualcosa. Mi dispiace essere stato solo una notte, ci ritornerò sicuramente. Mi sento senza timore di essere smentito di consigliarlo a tutti coloro che desiderano passare una vacanza da ricordare con piacere. Shirley residence è lo stesso proprietario del KBB da 20 a kiwengwa.

As a guest at Shirley's we loved the great service and cleanliness of the rooms. The best thing is the close access to the beach and it's facilities. As a couple we share a birthday and we chose to celebrate it in zanzibar at Shirley's Residence. Shirley's made us a romantic set up by the beach and the chef prepared a delicious 4 course meal. The best part was the birthday cake which was enough to share with other guests...it was the best celebration ever. They really made us part of their family. We will forever be grateful. The management continues to work with us regarding everything we need from them, and in Zanzibar even when back home.

Nothing I liked everything.

We love the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the place. It’s tucked away behind a small alley but just a few steps away from the beach. Everything is very new still and the mattresses are a dream to sleep on. The staff is so nice and accommodating and chef Domenico and team created the most amazing meals for us.

Nothing comes to mind. The only thing we didn’t like is that we had to leave eventually ☺️

New build property. The staff was really friendly. Dominic's communication skils are fantastic, great communication regarding booking and access to property. Breakfast very tasty and very generous.

We booked a room with a sea view which we didn't get, there was no seaview at all. When we pointed this to the lady that check us in she showed us from the corner if you look very very hard you could see a glimse of the sea view.... The location of the property and the high glass windows make the room to be literally an oven, so we tried to close the windows during the day whilst we were sightseeing or at the pool and leave the aircon so when we returned to the room we could actually breathe, but the 'cleaning' lady was a bit of an annoyance. She keept coming in and out of the room constantly and keept opening windows, opening curtains and turning the aircon off. I do understand there is an issue with the power in the island and they relay on generators yet doesn't give you the right to stop the aircon at your will. I've paid for the room and booked and aircon room for a reason, if you do not want the guest to use it at their will please note that into the reservation details. The property is 'bizarre' - the way they've built the rooms around a lounge creates an energy blockage, futhermore if there are more people staying in your floor (there are 3 rooms available in the 2nd floor we stayed in) you all have to share the 'lounge' and one balcony which has 2 chairs only. Bizarre, plus there is an spare bed just as you enter the floor. Luckily we were the only guests there... We did encounter quite a bit of issues with the power - i started to wonder if they really had problems with the electriciy and generator or if it was an excuse so they could turn the power off whenever they wanted. We had a couple of meals in the adjacent/partner kbb - all mediocre and overpriced for zanzibar. Overall Kiwenga is not the nicest area of the island and if i was ever going back to ZNZ I will never stay in the area again.
