TB Apartments

Apartment is nicely furnished, clean, good lay-out.

Didn't receive entrance instructions from host or booking.com. Waited outside the building in the rain for almost an hour after contacting the host several hours in advance and booking.com multiple times. Called hosts' phone number, no answer and no answering service. Called another number associated with the property and got a long message in Icelandic, no English so no idea what the message was saying. Approached strangers in the rain trying to find anyone who knew how to reach the host or access the building so we could get out of the rain. What a nightmare! I had seen other reviewers had problems getting into the building, but I assumed that surely the host had fixed the problems by now. NOPE! Obviously doesn't care about guests! Other apartments in the building are rented thru other hosts, and other guests I spoke with had clear information not only on their room but on how to use amenities in the building.

The bedroom has no windows it gets really warm inside

Not properly cleaned, noise of water pipe running through the bedroom. Location is isolated from City Centre

They seem that they have a system distributes the rooms on the guests The system failed with us and another guests and gave us all the same apartment It also gave them the lock box pass code and they came after we came and opened my apartment door ! They was a family, they tried to contact the people responsible on their phone number or emergency phone number and they didn’t answer Until I contacted them on Booking.com messages and gave their correct apartment number

Big enough apartment, supermarket in a short walking distance, parking without a problem.

Everything was really good.

Walking distance (about 15 min)to restaurants, sites, etc. very clean and modern apartment. It was nice having a washer/dryer in the building (separate floor from where we were).

Rather dark interior, but not a problem. Also, beware, that it is in a rather industrial park feel, but that seems to be a lot of Akyuri Iceland. Totally safe to walk around. The biggest glitch was that we were given incorrect information to get into the lockboxes and building. When we called, the Icelandic message went right to voicemail. For about 20 minutes I had that sinking feeling that we were scammed. Thankfully a couple came who knew the manager and got us the correct information. After that it was a great stay.
