TakeAmalfiCoast Main House

I stayed at an apartment hotel called TakeAmalficoast, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it due to several serious issues. The most concerning part was that the owner entered the apartment without our knowledge or consent while we were staying there. This is a clear violation of our privacy and not something you expect when booking a place to relax. When we arrived, the apartment looked clean at first glance, but the floor was actually dirty, and there was a visible gap under the door where ants kept coming in. It was quite unpleasant, especially considering the price point. I appreciated that dogs are allowed free of charge – which was one of the reasons I booked the place – but it turns out the property has around 12 dogs, and you can hear them barking constantly. So if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the right place for you. At checkout, the owner showed me a photo of a sheet that had fallen on the floor and claimed my dog had been sleeping on it. She demanded I pay €50 for this, even though this was never mentioned before or during our stay. When I questioned this, she started shouting at me very aggressively, which was both unprofessional and intimidating. Shortly after, her husband called me and also began shouting. He told me I was “lucky” he wasn’t there in person, because if he had been, he “wouldn’t have let us leave.” This kind of threatening behavior is completely unacceptable and made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. She also complained that we had left the air conditioning on while we were out, despite there being no clear house rule against it. In every other apartment hotel I’ve stayed at, this was never a problem – especially in summer, when it’s extremely hot and you want to come back to a cool room. All in all, this stay was deeply disappointing. Between the privacy violations, pest issues, noise, aggressive behavior, and unjustified charges, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation.

Mario and Filomena are not only perfect host, they will become your friends and introduce you to the village life. They know the area by heart, are full of great recommendations, and they are happy to share a spritz together at the bar in the piazzetta (Michele, we miss you!). Minori is the place to be if you want to enjoy the Amalfi coast but still live an authentic experience, and Mario will be able to guide you to make sure you have the perfect stay. The apartment itself is exceptional, on top of the hill so you have the best view of the sea and the coast, and there’s everything you might need inside (just like at home). Mario and Filomena live close by and they’re happy to help with any request, and Filomena makes sure everyone has breakfast with fresh products and homemade jam. This has been the absolute best part of our holidays, and we wish we would have stayed longer. Trust me, you can’t beat it - and we can’t wait to be back. Thank you, Mario and Filomena!

A great place to escape from the busyness in amalfi, walking distance to center of minori and miori , the room is really big with sea view, and Felomena is gonna take good care of you .

Very friendly hosts that really did what they could to help us. Good size apartment for a family.

We were actually a little shocked about the breakfast we received, a small yogurt, a cheese, some salamis and dry toasts, for 6 nights stay... It was not at all what we saw on the pictures and the reviews. We actually bought breakfast elsewhere every day despite the fact that breakfast should be provided. Still the worst experience was their parking solution. This was probably because of the Amalfi area, but we never experienced that you have to pay for parking (20 euro per day) when the location is high up on the mountains. Honestly this felt greedy and not right, when the location is a bit off and you have to take a car for getting around, you really should provide free parking as a service to your guests, my advice is to raise the cost for the accomandation and provide the parking spot as a service to level the costs. Speaking of parking, this was the hardest (most narrow) parking spot I've ever seen, and I'm a experienced driver and been to Amalfi area several times. First thing I did was scraping my car. And it took A LOT of time moving the car in and out. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Speaking of parking... since the parking was private, which means the car actually stays in the host's yard and not where we stayed, we had to alert the hosts everytime we needed the car, and they had to come and open a gate to let us in and out, which completely deprived the freedom it comes with having a car. I'm feeling bad to leave a negative review since the hosts were nice and the apartment was alright, but I felt that I want to be honest, the bad breakfast felt like false marketing from the pictures and reviews, and the parking situation kind of ruined our trip a bit and we wouldn't stay here next time.
