Location was central. Historic building has potential.

1. Parking area - No easy access for secure parking padlock arrangement was difficult to open from outside and no light, no exterior lighting from parking area to house, rotten fruit on ground in path to house, plastic items along edges serve no purpose, are unattractive and a tripping hazard. Dog poop in parking area and garden. 2. Outside seating area near hot tub - none of the lights were working, cigarette butts everywhere, broken decor items and hot tub should be removed as it was so disgusting - has not been cleaned in months. 3. Stoep - no light switch for guests be able to turn light on or off, overlooks garden refuse pile 4. Entrance hall - broken floorboard as you enter - could easily be covered by a non-slip mat, all the rooms had padlocks on instead of functioning door locks which made the facility appear as if there are serious security issues 5. Room - room door did not stay closed properly, wardrobe door kept swinging open as it was being used for storage of room linens - stuffed full of bedding and pillows and hence no space to unpack or hang any of our belongings. NO TOILET PAPER IN ROOM. Also NO TOILET PAPER in shared toilet down the hall. Water pipes are leaking by bath. Considering toilet is inside room with only a curtain separating it from bed, toilet spray should be provided. Window shutters do not open and room was stuffy and hot. 6. Cleanliness was shocking - cobwebs in room, dust, dirty marks on walls, bath wasn't clean, crockery and cutlery was terrible quality with very little surface space . Whoever is managing this property is wasting their money on the staff responsible for cleaning the rooms and keeping the grounds maintained.

Jean's welcome was warm, and he was very helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable. The large property is secure and pet friendly. The garden is full of interesting decorations and ornaments.

Some maintenance is needed. Signage to common areas and private quarters is non-existent

It took the staff 30 minutes ntes to open the gate for me the room had a very strong stench the milk was stale the I was not briefed on the WiFi and the only thing he was worried about was I must out before ten
