Everything, the staff, the room, the pool, the view from the cliff edge. Akshay the receptionist who checked us in was very helpful and also shared a lot of details on food nearby whether the south cliff or north cliff and all the activities that we could do in Varkala. We enjoyed our stay as the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.

The property had a very good view of the beach from the common area, the only issue is they didn't have any view from the rooms. A very nitpicky thing, that they might improve is to provide either the hand towels or tissues after the general handwash.

Cliff Stories had the best location of all the hotels on the South Cliff because of its cliff facing pool and seating below to watch and enjoy a nice sunset. It also had access to a private (sort of) beach. The rooms were very clean. The best part was the manager. Anything we needed from a bike to car rental or autos, he was always there to help us out. Very humble and kind person. There are cafes within walkable distance around this place to hangout. The rooms had most of the amenities and even had a drying rack to hang your clothes outside after a lovely swim in the pool/ocean.

The bathroom was pristine but there needed to be a little space between the shower area and toilet. Minor points but nothing that would stop me from visiting again!

The stay was horrible. Photos are deceptive, do not go for it. Staff keeps staring at you and it makes you uncomfortable.
