Outstanding experience! Kondey island is a beautiful, almost untouched place. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet escape - and we found it. It takes an extra domestic flight to get to the island, but it’s 100% worth it. Villas are recently built, in a great condition and very comfortable. Bed is huge and showers are great. There is a pool, dining area. There is a bikini beach 10 mins from villas. It’s clean and usually empty. Kondey is also a great option for snorkeling. Sunsets are just incredible. Ahmed was the best host! We took care of us, always being nice, helpful and we felt like at home. He is a nice person, and he made our stay really special. He also knows everything about the island, atoll and Maldives. Dolphin cruise went great, we saw hundreds of dolphins. Chef and food were great, we loved it! Everyday fresh, tasty meals. Mostly local but and regional. You won’t get bored! Thank you!

It starts with the flight from the Male above wonderful atolls and continues with the speedboat ride, which is a cool experience itself. Next, Kondey Island is a local and not crowded island, which is great if you like calm and peaceful places with empty beaches (and almost no people around you). The hotel itself is great: the room, the pool, and so on. The staff is very hospitable, helpful, and proactive, which is awesome. Also, the bikini beach (the only place you can be in a bikini) is amazing: it has palms, sand, sunbeds, smooth entry into the water, and a coral reef close to the shore, so you can go snorkeling by yourself and see plenty of colorful fish (and not dangerous sharks), and if lucky, even turtles or stingrays. I'd like to recommend taking the dolphin cruise and snorkeling with turtles — it is incredible. The chat with the hotel is very friendly, they provide additional information and support with the transfer, so don't hesitate to use it.

There may be a lot of ants in the common area, but they didn't bother me much.

This small boutique hotel is very new, and the rooms are furnished in a way that you cannot find in any of the local islands. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. If you are looking for a small local island experience and see another point of view of the Maldives it is really great. We combined this with a couple days of resort experience and it was perfect for us. The rooms are large and and very comfy. There is a small pool right outside of your room.

Since it is a new hotel it has some missing elements but the staff is very communicative and understanding they did all their best compensate these. The hotel is in the middle of the island and you need to walk a couple hundred meters to the beaches.The food can be improved and one of the flaws, but trust me they did all their best to make us feel better with the elements that a local island has to offer. But keep in mind that local islands do not allow alcohol consumption and not all the beaches are suitable with bikinis.

Our stay at the Kondey Villas was a blast - we had the best family vacation (the first with a 18 months old baby) by far. From the accomodation to the staff (rooms, cleaning, pool, services, food), everything was perfect. Kondey is a hidden paradise where we felt the most welcomed thanks to the kind people we met there - there was nothing we could ask for that the staff wouldn't provide, even though we were a bit far from the type of civilization we are used to. The untouched beauty of the virgin beaches, the fact that we had all of them just for us, the sunsets, the private island excursion, the marriage proposal which was magically set up by the staff - all will be remembered for always. We visited several islands (local and resort ones alike - Koodoo, Thinadhoo, Felidhoo, Velifushi), but Kondey was our favourite. We hope to return one day to the Kondey Villas. We highly recomand this facility.

We spent 1 week there with my husband and we really enjoyed every moment. The villa is very comfortable and of high quality, the pool was great to swim in. The staff is kind and dedicated, and the chef cooks very deliciously. We had everything we needed, Diving at Bikini beach was a real experience. I highly recommend Kondey to anyone who wants to get away from the world, close to nature and the real Maldivian culture.
