"Super friendly homestay near the backwaters"

Lots of pillows were great, I fell asleep instantly, and also napped after breakfast! The late check out was lovely :) Breakfast was delicious and home cooked! Hari was very hospitable and very keen to help. WiFi was great and managed to stream Netflix on it. Dining room, living area and outside seating available at all times and comfy. Refillable water section was handy. Organised all tuk tuks (including to an ATM and a pharmacy) and kayaking tour. Has a houseboat if you are interested. Good base for exploring the backwaters. He also let us stay in the common area for hours after checkout to book further stuff!

The bed was a little thin and you could feel the springs in the mattress. Only 1 very bright light, wasn’t too relaxing. Hari is very hands on with his help and making sure you are okay, if you are a traveller that likes to be left to their own devices, then maybe this isn’t for you! AC was a little weak and the fan was very loud! Went on a kayaking trip around the backwaters through Hari which is advertised as needing no experience…… however it is 4 hours of intense kayaking on at times choppy backwaters, with all the house boats and speed boats around. Not really Haris fault, and the guys were really nice. But would NOT recommend for total beginners. Made it really hard to enjoy the serene beauty of the backwaters.

The rooms are really big, the place is nicely decorated and clean. The host is great and helped us book taxis etc, he's really nice and so is his wife 😊 Overall a really lovely stay!
