Chalet Gorret

Loved the Chalet, the fabulous views, the chalet layout was great for 4 (I am not sure how 6 can fit in!) and comfortable. Beds were especially comfortable. Also we loved the village in the hills above, great supermarket (much cheaper than Cervinia) but not a mile away, about 2.5 miles uphill!

The thing which was most odd was there were no instructions in English, so unfortunately I had to disturb the host for instructions about rubbish. The kitchen needs more utensils, eg spatula for using the frying pans, more wooden spoons. The gas hob had one ring which was constantly going out, I suspect a dodgy connection, quite worrying! We didn't like the BBQ outside rammed full with cigarette ends, not good for kids to see. Finally, no toaster - what were the children going to have for breakfast and afternoon tea?? Chalet could have done with more electrical wall sockets and better lighting downstairs.

Situation et vue exceptionnelles. Beau petit jardin, ensoleillé et bien exposé. Le chalet est décoré avec goût, confortable et bien agencé.

Quelques points à améliorer concernant l'équipement de cuisine et de jardin.

Chalet perfetto, fornito, con vista magnifica. Imperdibile. Proprietari molto cortesi e reattivi. Check-in e out flessibile. Vicino a commerci e passeggiate ma in posizione di assoluta tranquillità.

Posizione invidiabile in frazione tranquilla, comodissima con auto e impareggiabile vista sul Cervino, anche dal letto!! Casa spaziosa, super attrezzata, pulita, accogliente e arredata con molto gusto, ci è sembrato di essere a casa! Piacevolissima sorpresa con i giochi da tavolo, lego, tavolo da Ping pong! C‘è anche tutto il necessario (in legno!) per godersi il giardino. Perfetto per famiglia con uno o due bambini!!

The view is amazing and the chalet is perfect for a family trip. Very clean, very well equipped, and very quick and positive response from the owners. Definitely, we will go back in the future.

Everything really. The views are unbelievable!!!! The Mattehorn in full glory out your window, the green mountains with the small picturesque town on their slopes. The host was super helpful and efficient and her very nice mother leaves nearby and is also there for any need. The house is beautiful and well equipped with everything we could need. The parking is easy and the area is wow!! So peaceful and with walking hikes nearby and easy reach to the main valley. It is off the beaten track and not touristic. Loved it!!

Nothing realyץ If you are a light sleeper - if you are 5 and one is entended to sleep in the living room, note the windows have no covers (which is great because of the views) and the sun is right on you in the morning.
