Tranquil Hiri

This was such a lovely stay hosted by Kapila and his family - he is such a helpful host and is able to organise tuk tuks as well! The spacious clean apartment is separate to the main house so you have your own privacy and the private bathroom (with hot shower!), large comfortable bed, perfect aircon, outside patio and kitchenette make it an ideal home for longer stays as it includes a gas cooker and fridge! WiFi is great and you can work from your room, the outside patio or one of the nearby cafes. If you want groceries Dikwella is a short tuk ride away. The location is super central with lots of shops and restaurants close by and a short walk to the beach. Recommend Dazzling Moon, Wild Bakery and Garlic Cafe for food nearby and Le Ketiya Boutique for shopping!

Fresh room with AC, bathroom with big fresh towels and an equipped kitchen! Perfect location with walking distance to hiriketiya beach and all the restaurants and stores! Wish I could have stayed longer, so will definitely be back!

Tranquil Hiri is a homestay with the most wonderful family. Kapila and his wife and two children are very kind and trustworthy people which was perfect for me as a female solo traveller. Kapila is a Tuktuk driver and gave me his number so I could message him to pick me up or take me somewhere giving me very good rates. His wife has a dress making business and the children play sweetly outside. The property is next door to their home and a 6 minute walk to the beach. It has a small kitchen and big fridge and the room itself is very large. It’s cosy when it’s rainy and great to watch a movie on the big comfortable bed. I stayed 5 nights and wish I could have stayed longer. It’s quiet and safe and a perfect place to enjoy the wonderful village of Hiriketiya.

Property was clean, in a good location and very spacious. Very good value for money and lovely family.
