Maison Trullo

Private and secluded Trullo as described, tidy with the grounds around the property were well maintained. Nice to have access to the roof of the trullo for excellent stargazing. Fully functioning kitchen with plenty of crockery, and also great to have a barbecue and outdoor seating area. Great for taking pets along.

The property is advertised as being able to accommodate 8 people although it can barely accommodate 6. During our stay the pool was never cleaned and the filtration was only active for a few hours in the morning, which meant it was dirty. There is a stand alone depandance, and for the first 2 days we had problems with the hot water supply there. The living room isn't functional for more than a couple of people. The rooms could benefit from a mattress upgrades. The host is friendly and responsive, however more time and energy should be put into getting the basics right i.e. insuring that the guests have access to hot water, are able to use a clean pool and improving the quality of the breakfast offering.

Our stay at the Trullo in Ceglie Messapica was simply amazing. One of the highlights was a traditional homemade dinner prepared by Mrs. Micaela, a local cook who brought fresh and authentic ingredients from the region — it was a true culinary experience. The house and the trullo village are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and full of charming details. Everything felt prepared with care. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were great. It’s a peaceful and inspiring place, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the essence of Puglia.

There were a few small issues with the equipment in the house. The electric kettle wasn't working, and the shower in the smaller nearby house only provided hot water for a short period. However, these were minor inconveniences that didn’t affect the overall experience, which was outstanding.

We stayed at this lovely accommodation with our 6-month-old daughter, and it was a great fit for families. Our host, Giacomo, thoughtfully purchased a baby crib just for our stay. There’s a nice grassy area next to the house where our baby could play, and the well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for her, as well as for ourselves using fresh local ingredients. We especially enjoyed being able to pick up fresh burrata from a nearby farm! The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. In the evenings, with the lights around the house and pool, it’s a peaceful spot to relax and end the day. Giacomo was always available and gave us useful tips for the area, even helping us with a restaurant reservation for my girlfriend’s birthday. He sent us a few suggestions, made sure we had a good table, and as a lovely surprise, he even brought a birthday cake and some bubbles. A very kind gesture—thank you, Giacomo! We definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay and great hospitality. We hope to return someday!

Highlight of our stay - excellent breakfast (a mix of sweet and salty, including milk, fruit juices, all varied, it's changing everyday), delivered to the property everyday by a very kind and trustful lady named Michaela. - excellent communication with the owner - very efficient in providing the directions to the property and all useful info about places to see and good restaurants, etc.. - sufficient hot water, we are seven and great supply! - nicely furnished inside and outside, feels like your own home - its a trullo house, perfect and very pleasant first experience

the only minor thing I can say to improve the property was the second bathroom/toilet, although well equipped, needs some renovations, would be appreciated if the shower area is also tiled all 4 sides and the area between the lavabo/sink and mirror
