Feeling at home. It was a beautiful stay, very clean room and really not far from the visitor center.

Marvel Hostel is outstanding. The owner was incredibly friendly and constantly ensured I was comfortable. I was the only guest at the hotel, yet he still came to cook breakfast for me. The room was spotless and cozy. If you're reading this and considering a trip to Jordan, just go. There are no tourists in Petra right now, and you'll likely never see this wonder of the world this empty again in your lifetime.

If you don't have a rental car, Petra can feel quite far.

They could renovate a bit

Yaser is a very gracious host who will give you a warm welcome. For an extra charge he will serve you a lovely home-cooked dinner made by his wife. Breakfast is very decent, bedroom and bathroom are clean and comfortable.

In a quiet part of town, none of the insane barking dogs that go on and on all night that are so common in Jordan. Owner and manager very responsive. Small, just four or five rooms in an apartment.

Not a dislike, but you should know: It’s a 75 min hike from the entry gate to Petra. The nearest store is about 1.3 km from the hostel down and then up some STEEP roads. So, shop while going through town so that you don’t have to take a “shopping hike”!

The host Yaser is very friendly and welcoming. Overall we loved our stay in the hostel and especially Yaser's generosity.

The bathroom was quite old.
