Property is in a secluded location with beautiful views. Has a lot of potential if maintained properly and owner considers guest feedback more.

Upon check-in we noticed a lot of issues. We consider these unreasonable, especially for the luxurious $1400USD/$2450NZD price. At booking.com/AMEXs request we took photos showing issues which I have uploaded. Other issues not pictured include a dirty BBQ (took us an hour to clean), strong smells in multiple areas, floor heating not working as advertised (my 80 year old father in law recently had surgery and expressed discomfort, was ignored by the host). We went to speak to the owner. The one staff there was told to tell us that the owner is not answering, and that he doesn't work for him. We were in disbelief and said we would complain via booking - host immediately responds that "a manager has checked the property previous guests rated us high, your expectations are too high, don't swear at my staff or the police will be contacted" It is obvious the owner wants to make us look bad to fight the booking complaints, however this is easily disproven as security footage will show me being upset/sad rather than any aggression whatsoever. He mentioned "multiple witnesses" when literally one staff was on site. The area is small, and we had 2 small children/4 elderly with us. We had no choice of booking elsewhere or we would have left right away. We left as soon as possible early next morning in shock (one day early). We stopped by the check-in office hoping to have a civil discussion about our experience. One of the owners lied to our face saying she "has nothing to do with this property, we should contact booking.com directly". She is pictured on the property website as an owner. Host then lies again saying we were 'aggressive' and he will contact police (trying to make us look bad to booking - again security footage will show otherwise). Photos should speak for themself, owner seems to take exception to ANY criticism from previous reviews and never admits fault/apologises.

The location is incredible. What a view! The house is so spacious and to sit and enjoy those magnificent windows overlooking the mountains and lake was very special. We were even lucky the sky cleared and we could see the beautiful stars!

Keys were not available, hot tub not working. Many flies left in house.

The place is spacious and no stairs, which is ideal for elderly. Also, the view is stunning and hot tube is perfect for star gazing!
