Warning! Please read carefully before booking! Surroundings are extremely ugly! House ruins opposite, a scrapyard, transformer station. Never the stated 176 sqm! (90?) Located about 50m from the main East Coast road. Noise pollution is enormous. Barking of stray dogs in the night too. No hot water in the kitchen! Dish washing a tourture... Eating out is impossible (~10km) due to the practically non-existent tourist infrastructure. Ants! They are everywhere... The ceiling has cracks, water poured out of one in the kitchen. Uninsulated concrete ceiling, bitumen coating on the top. This coating is black, absorbs all the sun's heat radiation. In the apartment, without AC it is simply unbearable... However, the landlords informed us that the air conditioning should only be used very sparingly, only at night, as it would otherwise be charged extra. Actually an outrage for a package booking. You don't book the unit hanging on the wall for looking at, but for its function. 3 days before departure, someone started painting the chairs on the terrace. Well, we no longer had any chairs...Then they wanted to clean the windows for the next guests. Now, I didn't want heat and insects to enter the apartment for hours, not to mention the invasion of privacy. These tasks are always done after the guest has checked out, not before. We left one day earlier, moved to the next appartement. 5 weeks later!!, on March 20th, Colette contacted me via what app (so the first contact was almost 7 weeks after our checkout!) and made ridiculous accusations that we had ruined the furniture and accompanying grotesque pictures (from minimal soiling in the oven and sink (in a home where cockroaches and ants nests welcome you at your arriving!!) to a toilet filled with laundry and cushions) along with the demand to send money. Also because of the "excessive use of the air conditioning"!... I had countless bookings in 35 years, but I have never encountered such audacity!!

The unit is really spacious with all the commodities you need, in a safe and quiet location. We enjoyed our stay from the beginning to the end, it was amazing and Colette made us feel comfortable! I only can recommend to stay here :)

A bit far away from the main attractions,. Toiletries like soap, toothpaste missing.

After vacationing for 3 1/2 weeks in Mauritius and staying at 5 different properties this one was by far our favorite. Before arriving for our stay the host reached out to give us the exact location of the property, it was easy to find, and they allowed us to park within the gate to prevent damage to our rental car from falling mangos on the street. Colette showed us to our apartment, when entering the property, the first thing we noticed was how spacious and clean it was. The apartment was well thought out and was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen supplies etc. The bed was comfortable and there are separate Aircon units in the bedrooms and one in the living room. We did not pay extra for the aircon in the living room, which we did regret because it does get very warm, and we did not utilize this area as much. The location for us was prime, it's about a 20-minute walk to the top of GRSE Waterfall and a 5-minute drive to the supermarket. I definitely recommend having a rental car. We chose this location due to several activities we had planned, and it was the perfect distance from this apartment. We also really appreciated the communication from Colette, she gave us great recommendations of activities to do in the area and was open to helping us sort out a restaurant nearby. This property is great for short term or even long-term stays, we would definitely book again. Also, we really enjoyed the garden, the flowers are beautiful, you can tell how much the place is kept up.
