Hotel Reverie - Dependance, Check-in at Metropolitan Star

Although the hotel itself is a bit dated, its maintenance and cleanliness are definitely not. The rooms are large, comfortable, and very well equipped, with a pleasant and spotless atmosphere. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Breakfast was very complete, varied, and good quality. The location is also convenient—while Bratislava is generally easy to get around, the hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the city center.

Check-in takes place at a different hotel, which should be advised at the very beginning of the booking to avoid arriving to Reverie Hotel and then move (only 150 mt) to Metropolitan. While this wasn’t an issue for me, it might be for some guests, Hotel has no elevator.

Mykyta and the Reception Team are so warm and co-operative. They accommodated my late check-out for a small fee, and stored my luggage after check-out until the evening. The location is central and convenient being a short walk to old town, near the high street snd trams. Breakfast is decent with vegetarian options.

I would however advise to read the fine print prior to reservation because this is an aparthotel setup. Check-in and breakfast takes place at an entirely different hotel around a 5 minute walk away from the actual property. Normally, a 5-minute walk is nothing — but when you are dragging nearly 40kg of luggage, it is exhausting. Yes, technically this was mentioned somewhere in the fine print, so I take responsibility for not spotting it. There was also no escalator or lift access mentioned when booking, which is another major issue when travelling with heavy luggage. Also, no slippers as advertised, had I known I would have packed mine. Such information should be disclosed properly so guests can make informed decisions. I understand that some of these details may technically exist somewhere buried in the fine print, but that is exactly the issue. Important information that directly affects a guest’s stay should be clearly visible in the main hotel details, not hidden away where most people are unlikely to notice it.

Nell'appartamento sono effettivamente presenti due bagni come descritto, ma solo uno dotato di doccia, al quale si accede passando attraverso una delle due camere da letto. Le due camere da letto sono comunicanti e nessuna delle due dotata di finestre.

Very disappointing stay – completely different from what was advertised We chose this hotel based on the photos and description online, but unfortunately the reality was very different. The hotel was extremely difficult to find. Many of the photos appear to highlight a nearby shopping center and parking area rather than the actual hotel. The building itself is hidden away, has a different name displayed outside, and can be very confusing to locate, especially for first-time visitors. The rooms were much smaller than expected and looked nothing like the photos. Cleanliness was also a major issue, as the room felt poorly maintained and not properly cleaned before our arrival. Overall, the property felt more like a budget hostel than a hotel. The staff were not welcoming and did not make us feel valued as guests. Customer service was disappointing throughout our stay. Breakfast was one of the biggest disappointments. The selection and quality were very poor, and we would have preferred to have breakfast elsewhere. Considering the condition of the rooms, the service, and the overall experience, this hotel is significantly overpriced. The surrounding area was not particularly attractive, and there were limited dining options nearby. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel and would advise future guests to look for other accommodation. We left feeling that the hotel did not deliver what was promised and was not worth the money we paid.
