The room was on a little hill overlooking the garden with pretty flowers. By contrast, the building needs maintenance, and the exterior you see on the picture isn't representing the actual state. Ever and his family provide great service. They offer free bicycles you can use to go to the cenotes nearby. We had dinner there and it was good, simple fare at a reasonable price. Except for the guacamole that wasn't good at all and expensive, one wonders why.

Overpriced considering the state of maintenance.

Si eres plantlover este es el mejor lugar, cuentan con MUCHOOOS árboles frutales, si también te gusta comer NATURAL tienes que venir aquí, toda la fruta y verdura es cultivada aquí mismo, personalmente la MEJOR NIEVE del mundo, la atención del anfitrión fue espectacular, te prestan bicis y chalecos sin Costo alguno, me encontré un coco, me lo cortaron me tomé el agua, me lo cortaron otra vez, me comí una parte de la pulpa y la otra parte me la hicieron nieve.

If you are traveling through the Yucatan and Homun is an option, we highly recommend this gem of an urban oasis. Ever and his wife are exceptional hosts. Dining is can be done in their small open dining hall or you can be served on the terrace in the "concourse"/ terrace located in the relatively newly build lodging buildings. We choose the latter for both breakfast and dinner and were rewarded with two of the most memorable days and nights of our two week tour that also included stays in Merida, Maxcanu, Celustun, Uxmal, Tekax, Isamal, and Valladolid. On four previous trips we have stayed in many small villages and towns throughout the states of Yucatan and QR and this stay at Quinta YaaxBe will always remain one of our fondest memories. The evenings are simply gorgeous with the landscaping and lights. Ever and his wife provided spectacular service and conversation as well. His background in vacation resorts and cruise ships was evident and the food preparation and service was four star imho! The "Quinta" (estate) is wonderful and the family working the grounds provides both fresh edibles, sustainability, and wonderful gardens with pathways.

I suggested that a bit more shelf space, even additional luggage racks, perhaps a surface area for laptop use would greatly assist us travelers.

A super cool place to stay in Homun. Very friendly owner. Large, green, well kept garden. Comfortable, clean rooms with garden view. Delicious food at onsite restaurant (very quite - not accessible to people from outside). Swimming pool. A great place to spend few days enjoying nearby cenotes.

The area is amazing!

I chose Quinta Yaaxbe because of the great reviews and lovely photos, and it did not disappoint. I originally booked two nights, but when I arrived, I immediately booked another night, and ended up staying 5! Ingrid and Ever are wonderful hosts and made me feel like family. They are so nice and welcoming. I ate all of my meals at the hotel. The food was healthy, delicious, and affordable. I had fresh fruit for breakfast that was grown on the grounds. I enjoyed meeting Ingrid’s parents as well. The rooms have air conditioning and TV (I didn’t use either), and the WiFi is strong. The bed was comfortable.There’s a beautiful pool, and bikes to borrow for free! I was able to park my car inside the gate which felt very secure. I had issues with my water pressure, and Ingrid and Ever immediately called a plumber, and let me use the shower in another room. I came to Homún for the cenotes and visited 7 while I was there. My favorites were Santa Lucia, Cheel Paak, and Canunchen. Bring water shoes, goggles, and a water proof cover for your phone. Also, the ATMs in town sometimes run out of cash, so bring plenty with you. The cenotes are 50-100 pesos each. I highly recommend Quinta Yaaxbe, and can’t wait to return.

The beds were VERY comfortable. The owners are very attentive and welcoming. They make you feel at home. The grounds are like a tropical paradise. You can hear the sounds of the jungle from your room. The breakfast for a fee was exceptional, and the value was better than anything in town. The secure parking was large and easy to park in. We can't wait to come back!
