Hotel Calypso

The location was great, 15 mins walk to the Ruins and the centre. Parking on site is a real bonus. The host was really welcoming and friendly, even though her English and our Italian wasn’t great, we managed fine. The room was basic, but had all you needed for a short stay. Breakfast was continental as expected and it was sufficient. Whilst this little unassuming hotel doesn’t look much from the outside, you’ll find the rooms clean and sufficient for a short stay, the staff friendly and helpful, so give it a try if your in Pompei, as it really is in a great location for the price.

I was there with my brother and elderly father. We all loved it. Felt like a second home. It was close to one of the entrys of Pompei and also to the central train station and scavi train station. The family who owns it is very helpul and caring. We loved our stay there.

Ideal location, good value for money, lovely lady owner, very helpful and appears to always be available 24 hours a day.

Very basic hotel, bed was rock hard, shower cubicle tiny, air conditioner not great, no tea or coffee facilities in room, just needs some updating.
