We liked the location, surroundings, the breaky, the place itself exceeded my expectations, we were very happy and enjoyed every minute.

Very comfortable and spacious barn conversion on a dairy farm, with views of mount Taranaki. We didn’t want to leave!

This was probably our favourite spot of the whole trip! Such a beautiful, peaceful location and very clean. There was a cute and comfortable cot for our baby also. The breakfast supplies were much appreciated. We’d have liked to stay another night or two - lots to see around this area also!

As other reviewers have said the bed is very hard! I like firm beds but it was on the hard side even for me, and my husband who prefers medium-firm kept getting a numb arm when sleeping on his side. We’d come back regardless because this place is marvellous but a new mattress would make it perfect!

Great place to stay with all facilities as promised. The breakfast basket was amazing.

Owner was helpful, very obliging and very hands-off, as a farmer he needed to be out on the farm, so not always available. Huge room with windows on all sides, a balcony and great long distance views including Mt Taranaki. The apartment is in the roof of a barn beneath which you can park your car and use the washing machine and dryer which was a lifesaver! Also able to give the car a quick wash to clear the dust we’d accumulated. Breakfast was fantastic including fresh farm eggs and milk, and was presented in a basket on arrival together with cereals, jams, bread, and other, etc.

Bed was a bit on the hard and creaky side and the sheets were clean but exceptionally crumpled - a bit off-putting being as they were hard cotton of good quality. Room was very hot by evening and lots of flies if we opened windows (it is a farm environment after all).
