Beautiful and newly renovated apartment in La Spezia - just 5-10 minute walk to the train station. Very large and comfortable two bedroom and two bathroom apartment with laundry facilities on site with heated drying racks in each bathroom. Location is ideal and surrounded by many restaurants and stores - sectioned off for pedestrians only. This area and walk from train station can be a bit sketchy at night so just be aware. Parking is impossible and the train station is really the only option - which is quite costly. Recommend buying day passes for the train in advance as individual tickets are very pricey at 5 euros per trip including from village to village. I have visited many towns in Italy and I was not overly impressed by La Spezia itself but location is convenient for visiting Cinque Terre. Highly recommend visiting Portovenere and Bay of Poets - stunning! To note, some kitchen essentials were missing i.e. knives for food preparation during my stay and WIFI worked best in the kitchen.. I shared this feedback with the host. Overall, great stay and recommend this apartment.
