Die Dorpshuis

It was central and the apartment was clean. We got fresh fruit which was very nice.

The stairs was dangerously steep. There was no curtains so no privacy at night. There is shutters but you can see into the apartment from outside. We had to lift the carpet to close the bathroom door. The step into the shower was really high.

The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed. Good wi-fi and access to streaming was a bonus.

The bathroom was in need of a makeover. The geyser pipes are visible and an overflow pipe leads into the shower. The overflow dripped the entire night. The bathroom just looks scruffy in comparison to the rest of the unit. I used the available gas braai but it had not been cleaned for a while so that was a bit unfortunate. Parking on site but not secure. Easy public access to the vehicles. Maybe I am just paranoid :)

Location was perfect- right across from the Main Street with cute cafes and shops. Despite being so close to the main road, it was so quiet. The apartment was very well equipped and had everything you might need.

It had all the basics and comforts away from home. Perfect location to see the whole of Darling on foot.
