Panglao Lofts

What a find! What a place! You walk through the doors to your tranquil paradise fantasy life. We were lucky enough to have the entire space to ourselves for almost two or our four days at Panglao Lofts. It felt like we could see ourselves living there. The place is located within an estate of similar residences a few miles outside Alona but only 10mins on a scooter or by trike. The room is quirky and fun with a spacious lounging area, tiny kitchenette and spiral staircase going up to a full height mezzanine bedroom. The porch area has super-comfy wire-strung bucket chairs overlooking the pool. The decor of the communal dining and seating areas feels luxurious. My husband tripped in the kitchen area, stubbed his toe and knocked the kettle against the worktop smashing it to pieces. The owners and manager were very supportive. Of course they wished us to replace it as you would expect but we couldn’t find a suitable replacement so we gave them some money and we got almost half back because we’d given them “too much”. That’s a great attitude inspiring mutual trust. Stifany the manager was the perfect hostess.

The shower head is fixed a little high and at an angle that I found difficult to use if I didn’t wish to wash my hair (I’m 5’4”) as the water jet hits out towards the opposite wall and either soaked me completely or hardly touched me. I ended up using the foot tap to rinse soap off from the waist down. Having said that, I can’t say it would put me off returning.

Insanely cute!!! Every little design detail has been thought of. This property only has 3 rooms so it comes across as a private resort! All three rooms walk right out to the pool (your door is the sliding glass door shown in their pic) so it feels like your own private backyard. Loved the mini kitchen in the room and also the main common outdoor kitchen which we used daily. Also the property is within a little quiet residential neighborhood so it’s nice not to have to buzzing scooter noise and it felt very very safe. You can walk out of the neighborhood (5 minutes) to hail a trike or the onsite manager can call one for you. A thoroughly helpful welcome book has restaurant suggestions (including some that deliver), where to rent a scooter (which they will deliver!) and laundry service (again, deliver)! It felt so luxurious staying here. 10000% recommend.

I literally could not name a single negative thing about this place!

This was probably our favorite accommodation in Philippines in terms of quality and price! The place was really beautiful and good maintained. Even more beautiful than on the pictures! Tastefully decorated, balinese style. Very good swimming pool that we used every night. The hosts were also very helpful, their brochure about Bohol was very useful and it helped us a lot and saved us a lot of time. Stifanny was also very friendly and always smiling. The lofts are in safe location, 8 minutes to Alona Beach on a bike.

We love here! It locates a bit far from Alona beach, but we enjoyed the quietness. 5 minutes walk to a big supermarket. If going somewhere with distance, you can rent a scooter or ask property keeper calling a treck for you. Staff is very kind and helpful. The decoration inside is simple and cozy, very well equipped.

Nothing

The door lock in my loft wasn't working. I felt rather unsafe sleeping every night and whenever I had to leave the loft to travel elsewhere. Basically, the door was unlocked throughout my stay because they lock was damaged for unknown reason. My keys were basically useless. Additionally, the location of the loft is far from the beach and other tourist destinations. You really have to hire a tricycle/motorcycle or a private car.

It is very peaceful and quiet. I love its overall design and it is pleasing to the eye. I love the room, the pool.

It's a bit far from Alona beach, had to make sure that a trike is available to pick you up. Buuuut the owner was kind enough to give us a guide that was very helpful for our entire stay.
