Location is excellent. Elevator in the building, unit is on high floor. There are some free street parking spots located not too far from the apartment.

Unit is terribly uncomfortable and not very clean. Bed is horrible. Sheets are old and barely fit the bed - no extras were provided/available. A plastic layer was placed between the mattress and bottom sheet, presumably to protect from staining, that crinkles with every move. Heater is incredibly loud and turns on and off at random times. No night tables. The kitchen is completely barebones. Some cups, glasses, plates, a few pots, and silverware. No coffee, salt, sugar, etc. - absolutely no staples of any kind. The couch is old and dirty. The towels provided were old, thin, and ratty - I felt like I was staying at my 19 year-old nephew's dorm room. There is a horrible smell about the building. The bedroom window has only a thin, white cloth drape as covering which provides almost no light filtering at all, and the noises from outside are quite loud even with the window closed. The landlord is not a particularly welcoming host. We experienced problems with his "remote check-in" which he apparently prefers so that he doesn't have to be present upon arrival. However, because of that, we incurred hours of delay. I'm aware that some cities of Italy have banned remote check-in systems just for that reason. When he did finally show up to let us in, he saw that we were three, I had booked for three, but the apartment was set up for two and no effort was immediately made to accomodate otherwise. We had the place for 2 days but were so uncomfortable that we left early. Host's response... "If you needed something, you should of called". Yeah, that about sums up the experience.

The host was very friendly and the apartment was very clean and in a great location.

The only comment is there was no check in instructions on the Booking. The key was in a lock box outside but we didnt know this or how to access. Any instructions would be helpful.
