KINOSAKI KNOT

駅まで5〜6分と近く、早朝出発する身としてはとても便利だった。外湯巡り用のバスタオルを無料で貸していただけ、嬉しかった。洗面所の使い方(水をこぼしたら拭く)や早朝出発に際して同部屋の方に迷惑にならないようアラーム機能を切るなどの注意があり、お宿を大切に運営されているお気持ちが伝わってきた。

特に無い。強いて言えば外湯巡りの浴衣レンタルはあったがまだ寒かったので羽織ものも合わせてレンタルできたら良かったのにと少し残念。

Close to Kinosakionsen center but not IN the center. V clean. Yukata, obi, and geta available for onsen use in town, rentable. Luggage wiped clean on check-in. Bunk beds do NOT squeak (but, honestly, I don’t know HOW the upper bunk is reached as I didn’t see any ladders), firm but comfy. Women’s dorm window is on street side and early morning traffic can be heard. January isn’t crowded. 😊 No kitchen, but can reheat with microwave, hot water, and available teas, refrigerator.

Can’t cook. I had booked this place once before, but due to train delays from Tokyo (winter havoc) I arrived at 8 pm. NO ONE was around, and no one answered the phone or the doorbell. It was FREEZING OUTSIDE, and luckily, the kind people who drove me to the location drove me to another hostel that accommodated me. It was not a good introduction to this guesthouse. But, I thought I’d give it a try. Upgraded from 1 star to 3 stars out of 5.

Staying at the Kinosaki Knot was a brilliant experience! The staff were so kind and helpful, and the location was perfect to explore the town. Couldn't be happier with my stay!

Nice renovated building. Very clean. Great location in the center of town, close to restaurants and hot baths.
