Charming Downtown Hideaway

Relatively easy access

Not charming at all. It is what it is. A garage, retrofitted to a sleeping quarters. It’s narrow, packed, the bed is made out of several layers of mattresses, the top layer being the oldest and hosting two gigantic recesses. Window curtains reminded me of 3rd world and could either be on (dark) or of (exposed). The bathroom was cold. No heat. Dirty dishes on the table when I got in. There is a very small fridge but the door to te freezer compartment that is within the fridge is broken and falls off resulting in all you stuff, like beer, getting frozen. In general it’s below hostel level and should be priced at 300 SEK per night tops because it is not worth more than that. There are hotels in Orebro for the same amount of money, so do not get caught with „charming” bullshit. Just a side note - why would someone put the door lock upside down, so when you need to open the door you need to push the handle up not down. So counter intuitive and so stupid. When you install a toilet, why wouldn’t you install it straight? Now, it is inclining towards the wall, making you sit kinda sidewise. There is a door between a second garage and the „living quarters” garage that is open, meaning, whoever gets to the real garage, can enter your place, even without a code. Ultimately - just pick some other place.

Good location

The fact that the owner had made a mistke and had overbooked the property so me and my brother had to stay with the host’s friend at his house

Very clean small apartment and very efficiently furnished with a large double bed, a corner sofa and table, and a big tv screen in the room. Kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. You have everything you need. Parking in front of the door.

We had difficulties in getting the door open even if the code was correct. But we received friendly help after contacting the host. The person sleeping next to the wall might have difficulties in getting in and out of the bed while the other one is sleeping. The terrycloth sheet felt a little harsh underneath us. Remember to turn the refrigerator on if needed. The plug is in the cupboard to the left. Be careful opening and closing the shower door. There is a private garage next door and you can hear clearly if the car leaves. On the whole the accommodation was very good, especially when you come by car.
